Saving
Texture Settings (Updated for iFeelPixel version 2)
To
save your current settings, enter a new texture name in the list
box
,
then click "Save Preset" in the menu as shown below.
The new texture is automatically added in the list box.
When
saving your settings, try to be descriptive in the name you choose.
For example, if you intend to use this texture with your
iFeel
mouse, your Novint Falcon or SteelSeries Rival while watching a pic with a tree, a good profile name
might be "iFeel-Tree", "Falcon-Tree" or "Rival-Tree". This will help you identify the
texture if you need to select it later.
If
you select a name that already exists, you will be asked if you
want to overwrite that file.
Note:
please do not use space between characters. The texture will not be saved!
Only use letters, numbers, underscore (low line) or dash (minus) in your texture names
or you may experience problems saving or retrieving your textures. Others characters are forbidden.
To
remove a texture from the list, open "Menu" then select "Delete Preset".
Note: The original list of the 24 presets can't be replaced or deleted.
Tip: Regularly backup your textures to a safe place (CD, floppy, etc...)
To
remove a texture from the list, you must do so manually. Outlined
below are the steps involved when iFeelPixel software is started:
File > Application data folder. Browse
to the iFeelPixel™ "texture" folder location
(Old version users must browse directly to: C:\Program Files\iFeelPixel\texture)
Each
new texture is saved with the ".xml" extension (".reg" extension for older version). Delete
the file with the name that corresponds to the texture you want
to remove.
